Decommissioning programme
Our priority is safe hazard reduction and decommissioning at the sites we manage. Across Magnox South, a range of innovative projects are under way - in many cases accelerating timescales and achieving savings against the Lifetime Plans.
Our achievements brochure, Hazard reduction in safe hands, brings together a number of our successes since the creation of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority in 2005.
We will regularly update this section with cases studies of the work we have undertaken. The first of our regular features takes a look at the unique success story at Dungeness A, dissolution of fuel element debris.
