There are a variety of measures that we use to monitor and assess safety performance across our operations.
ISO standards
In 2007/08, all sites remained accredited to the ISO standards 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001
ROSPA
(The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) is an award scheme which recognises excellent performance or sustained improvement.
Magnox Electric: (Magnox South prepared the entry) won a major award in the Engineering Construction sector.

Bradwell: Gold Medal Award
Dungeness A: Gold Medal Award
Hinkley Point A: President's Award
Sizewell A: President's Award
The awards are categorised as:
President's award: organisations achieving a minimum of 10 consecutive gold awards
Gold medal: organisations achieving a minimum of five consecutive gold awards
Gold award: organisations achieving a very high standard of health and safety at work over 4 years
Silver award: organisations achieving a very high standard of health and safety at work over 3 years
Bronze award: organisations achieving a very high standard of health and safety at work over 2 years
Merit award: organisations achieving a very high standard of health and safety at work over 1 year
