Preparation work to de-plant the Turbine Hall began way back in the spring of 2003 with the removal of all insulation material (asbestos and MMMF - Man Made Mineral Fibres) by contract company, Kitsons.

Berkeley Security team gain professional qualifications

Members of the Security team at Berkeley Nuclear Licensed Site have received congratulations for their achievement in gaining a professional qualification with the Security Industry Authority (SIA). The four security team members who have undertaken the SIA training and examination are proud to be the first security personnel within Magnox Electric Ltd to register with and obtain the SIA qualification.

Berkeley supports school biodiversity plan

Stone with Woodford Primary School are celebrating this week after receiving £2,500 donated from the Berkeley Nuclear Licensed Site. The donation will be used to buy science equipment to allow pupils to study the natural environment around their school grounds, including the study of plants and insects. The Berkeley Nuclear Licensed Site is working closley with the school to support them in their study of science and is partnering on bio-diversity based projects.

Bradwell has been reaccredited with Investor in People status. The auditors noted that to achieve the standard so soon after a major transition was a huge success.
