Thursday 29 January 2009Hinkley Point Business Breakfast
Hinkley Point A Site recently hosted it’s annual business breakfast at the Express Business Park, Bridgwater, to update more than 60 representatives from local businesses and other organisations on its decommissioning progress.
Although the site gives regular updates to the local community, this recent business breakfast was also seen as an opportunity for Sedgemoor District Council to launch ‘The Bridgwater Challenge Project’. Hinkley Point A is supporting the Bridgwater Challenge as part of its socio-economic plans and invited the project team to launch the project at the business breakfast.
Site Director, Bob Kury said: “We always enjoy the opportunity to share the work that is continuing at Hinkley Point A. We are a big part of the community and we take our responsibilities very seriously, which is why we host this breakfast and other events throughout the year. We want members of the public to hear about the decommissioning work and ask any questions they might have.”
Local MP, Ian Liddell-Grainger, also showed his support for the site and talked about his passion and commitment to Bridgwater’s regeneration.
