Conditions of Contract
Magnox South employs a number of different conditions of contract.
This based on:
- The type of work (e.g. civil, mechanical, IT)
- The extent of work on site
- The extent of safety, commercial and technical risk
Magnox South is moving towards the use of NEC3 suite of conditions as its primary form of contract.
NEC 3 is the New Engineering Contract revision 3, a suite of eight contract forms covering a wide range of contract form types from multi site projects through to minor works contracts. The benefits of using NEC3 forms includes: Stimulus to good management, flexibility and simplicity – can be applied to any project, large or small.
While we encourage the use of NEC3 conditions of contract whenever appropriate, it is not mandated. On occasion it maybe appropriate to use other industry standards or our own conditions of contract. The conditions of contract table identifies the conditions of contract Magnox South usually employ for different types of work.
Magnox South contracts contain additional contractual requirements requested by the NDA. These “flowdown” conditions are integral parts to all contacts that we place. For more details or copies of contract forms please contact: alan.j.oxenbury@magnoxsouthsites.com.
Some of our purchasing will be procured using other T&Cs (for example hire of contract personnel, IT, waste disposal and waste transportation).
